Visitor Information

The community of Arden on the Severn is located approximately 12 miles North-North-West of the city of Annapolis, MD. At the top of the list of the many attractions Arden possesses are its beaches, which provide access to the Severn River for boating, swimming, fishing, and much more.

The members of the Arden Beaches, Inc. welcome you and hope you enjoy your visit, but please know that the beaches and boat ramps are designated 'private' and are for community residents only. Strict enforcement of both vehicle and boat ramp launch permits is enforced by an active security detail so if you are visiting, please make sure that you are with an active member of the community when using our amenities!

Arden Beaches

Access to Arden's beaches is for residents only. Non-residents are welcome at our beaches, but MUST be accompanied by a beach-card carrying resident of Arden at all times. Beach cards are non-transferrable and must be carried by the individual it is issued to. This means that if the resident you are visiting loans you their beach card, you will be asked to leave and the resident could lose their beach privileges!

Arden Beach Parking

The parking that is available at all of the beaches is for residents only. Non-residents are welcome to use our parking spaces, but MUST be using a resident-owned vehicle that is registered with Arden Beaches, Inc. These vehicles will have a current ABI Parking Permit attached to them (not set on the dashboard of the car). The parking stickers are not transferrable between vehicles and are directly tied to the license plate attached to the car. This means that if the resident you are visiting loans you their parking sticker, your car can be towed (at your expense), and that resident will lose their parking privileges!

Arden Boating

Arden features multiple boat ramps that are for residents only. Non-residents are NOT welcome to use these ramps to launch their own boats; regardless of being accompanied by an Arden resident or not. Arden residents who own a boat, and posess a permit to use the boat ramps, are permitted to use the ramp facilities. The ABI Boating Permits are not transferrable between vehicles and are directly tied to the license plate attached to the trailer. This means that if the resident you are visiting loans you their boat trailer sticker, your car can be towed (at your expense), and that resident will lose their boat ramp privileges!
